Banderas Bay Salsa Review and Giveaway

Monday, April 26, 2010

I would like to apologize in the delays in getting this posted. It's the first review and giveaway- had a bit to learn first. So, without further ado...

Nicole of Banderas Bay Salsa
sent me some of her amazing salsa to try.  We tried the Mango

and the Fresh Tomato Salsa

Here are their descriptions- I wish you could just dip your fingers in this...the desciption doesn't do it justice!
Mango Salsa...
Chunks of sweet mango and a kick of lime blend with just the right heat from serrano peppers and a refreshing hint of mint. Use it as a relish on fish or chicken or as a topping for vanilla ice cream.
Fresh Tomato Salsa...
Medium salsa bursting with the flavor of chunky tomato, fresh cilantro and garlic, with just the right amount of jalapeno heat, which keeps you coming back for more.

This is not your average, everyday salsa! Nope, I didn't even want to just try it on chips. We tried it on Cheeseburger Pie, brats and I even scooped some cucumbers in it! The Tomato Salsa tasted fresh out of the garden and was mild enough that even children would like it on hotdogs. In talking with Nicole, that is how she started her company. She was looking for salsa that didn't have any preservatives and additives and something her "picky" child would eat. She couldn't find, so she just made it...and then she just kept going! I love that and the fact that she is an entrepreneur with that spirit!
Onto the Mango Salsa...I had to keep myself from just not eating it out of the jar! When is the last time you could say that about a salsa? It reminded me of the sweet relish on Chicago Dogs- with just a tiny kick, so I dipped cucumbers with it too. This stuff is not your mama's salsa!
Nicole is generously giving away to one lucky follower, a salsa gift pack of their choosing!
Some to choose from are:
Mango Salsa
Black Bean Salsa
Pineapple Salsa
Fresh Tomato Salsa
Garlic & Habanero Salsa
Roasted Garlic & Habanero Hot Sauce
and Special Select Mild Pepper Sauce

and she's growing!

All you have to do is visit Banderas Bay and tell me what Salsa you would like.  Then tell me something about that salsa. (This entry must be done for any others to count)

They use only the freshest ingredients and all of their produce is hand-chopped which lends for a chunky, rustic appeal.

I'd love to try the Pineapple Salsa. :)
